My school uniform, Dad. The school says you can wear a ribbon or a necktie with the blouse. Which do you think is better?
Father:
Let’s see… Well, ribbons are cute but this necktie is really nice, too.
Mayumi:
I was thinking the same thing! And to make the decision even more difficult, you can wear a skirt or slacks.
Father:
It’s great that you have choices. You are going to go to school by bicycle, so how about going with necktie and slacks?
Mayumi:
That makes sense.
Father:
But I know you would look good in a skirt with a ribbon, too.
Mayumi:
Dad, you aren’t helping. Oh, what should I do?
Father:
Mayumi, you don’t have to choose.
Mayumi:
What do you mean?
Father:
Why don’t you buy everything? Then you can wear any combination you want.
Mayumi:
Really? You will buy a ribbon, necktie, skirt and slacks for me?
Father:
Of course. I want you to be happy.
Mayumi:
Thank you so much, Dad. You’re the best!
Mother:
Umm. May I say something?
Mayumi:
What is it, Mom?
Father:
Yeah, what is it, Honey?
Mother:
Let’s decide on the uniform after you pass the entrance exam.
Mayumi & Father:

これはとても難しい選択です。決められません。どれにしようか？
お父さん：
まゆみ？何を決めようとしているの？
まゆみ：
私の制服よ、お父さん。学校ではブラウスにリボンかネクタイをつけていいって言われてるんだけど、どっちがいいと思う？
お父さん：
そうだね…リボンもかわいいけど、このネクタイもすごくいいよ。
まゆみ：
私も同じこと考えてた！しかも、もっと決めにくくなるのは、スカートかスラックスを履くこと。
お父さん：
選択肢があるのはいいことだよ。自転車で通学するんだから、ネクタイとスラックスはどう？
まゆみ：
なるほどね。
お父さん:
でも、リボンの付いたスカートも似合うと思うよ。
まゆみ：
お父さん、あなたは何も手助けにもなってない。ああ、どうしよう？
お父さん：
まゆみ、選ばなくてもいいよ。
まゆみ:
どういうこと？
お父さん:
なんで全部買えば？ そうすれば好きな組み合わせで着られるよ。
まゆみ:
本当？ リボンとネクタイとスカートとスラックスを買ってくれるの？
お父さん:
もちろん。お父さんに幸せになってほしいから。
まゆみ:
本当にありがとう、お父さん。お父さんは最高よ！
お母さん:
あの、ちょっと言ってもいい？
まゆみ:
何なの、お母さん？
お父さん:
うん、何なの、ハニー？
お母さん:
制服は入学試験に合格してから決めましょう。
まゆみとお父さん:
