今週は… 英語お悩み相談
(This time, we are concerned about “Is it necessary to learn English despite the rapid development of AI? It is true that with the use of translation apps, it is no longer difficult to communicate with others. For those who consider English as a mere tool to communicate information, it may be sufficient. On the other hand, for those who want to communicate with people from other cultures in their own language and expand their world, I think it is very important to learn and use a foreign language. Furthermore, I believe that learning English, which has a different structure and conception from Japanese, has the advantage of improving one’s sense of language. What do you think?)
Well, I learned Japanese in order to talk with people, and using a translation app when you’re talking to friends really isn’t very much fun.
Yeah, translation apps can be super useful, especially for checking things like vocabulary, but it might be hard to use for every conversation naturally.
翻訳アプリは便利かもしれない。 でも、友人との会話などでは、自分の言葉で伝える方が自然な上に何より楽しいということですね。
(Translation apps may be useful. But in conversations with friends, for example, it is more natural and above all more fun to communicate in your own language.)
