a lot は たくさんという意味ですが、 動詞 come と合わせると よくという意味にもなります。

ストーリーに出てきた言葉やフレーズをつ取り上げて、 クリスとダイアナに聞いてみましょう。 今日取り上げるのは、 私もです、 という意味の英語のダジャレです。

私も、 という意味の Me too。 の too は数字の two と発音が全く同じなので、Me too. といった人の後に Me three. を続けて、 お茶目な感じで、私もということができます。

などと人がたくさんいれば さらに遊べます。
他にも言葉遊びをするようなフレーズはありますか?
そうですね。 Okie Dokie とか
ああ okの別の言い方ですね
Yes. 言葉に意味はないんですけど 友達とかに遊びに誘われて、 行く行く」っていう感じだったら Okie Dokie という感じで 明るく返事します
こんなものもありますよsee you later
あとでねという挨拶を See you later, alligator
と言ったりします これもアリゲーターには特に意味がなくて、韻を踏んでいてリズムが楽しいので、 使っているのをよく聞きます。
英語のダジャレを聞くと最初、 ん? となるかもしれませんが、 少しでも使えると楽しいですよ。

何か〜するものというときには、 something の後にto + 動詞の原形を置きます。 今日のキーセンテンスでは、 something の後にto eat を置くことで、 何か食べるもの という意味になります。 something がどんなものであるかを、 to + 動詞の原型で説明しています。 それでは他の例文も見てみましょう。
1). I want something to read.
私は何か読むものが欲しいです。
something to read で、何か読むもの という意味になります。
2). We need something to drink.
私たちは何か飲むものが必要です。
something to drink で何か飲むものという意味になります。 次です。
3). There isn’t anything to eat.
食べるものが何もありません。
否定文ではsomethingではなくanythingを使います。
