I went to Okayama last Sunday to see my uncle.
私はおじさんと会うために先週の日曜日に Okayamaへ行きましたという意味です。
主語と動詞の I went の後に場所を表す to Okayama、 次に時を表す last Sunday、 最後に目的を表す to see my uncle の順に情報を並べています。 このように、主語 動詞の後には、場所、時、目的や理由の順に情報を置きます。 では、語句の順番を意識しながらリピートしましょう。
I went to Okayama last Sunday to see my uncle.
もう一つ例文を見てみましょう。
My father stayed home yesterday because he was tired.
父は疲れていたので、昨日は家にいました。
主語 動詞の my father stayed の後に場所を表す。home、次に時を表す yesterday、最後に理由を表す because he was tiredの順番に情報を並べています。 では、順番を意識しながらリピートしましょう。

こうした語句の並べ方は場合によっては順番が変わることもありますが、 基本となる場所、時、目的や理由の順番を覚えておきましょう。
