Home cooking.
家庭料理という意味ですが、国や地域が違えば家庭料理の感覚も変わります。クリス、ダイアナの家庭料理はどんなものですか？
(It means home-cooked food, but different countries and regions have different senses of home cooking. Chris, what is home cooking like in Diana?)
僕の故郷はミネソタ州ですが、家庭料理と聞かれてパッと思い浮かぶのは、ホットディッシュですね。日本でいうグラタンみたいなもので、野菜や肉、パスタやご飯とソースを食器に入れて、上にチーズをたっぷり乗っけてオーブンでじっくりと焼く食べ物です。組み合わせは家庭によって様々です。ミネソタ州の冬はとっても寒くて、雪がたくさん積もるので、そんな寒い日にピッタリ合う料理です。話すとちょっと恋しくなります。 (I’m from Minnesota, and when people ask me about home cooking, the first thing that comes to mind is hotdish. It’s like gratin in Japan – vegetables, meat, pasta, rice and sauce in a dish, with lots of cheese on top and slow cooked in the oven. The combination varies from household to household. Winters in Minnesota are very cold and we get a lot of snow, so this dish goes perfectly with such cold weather. I miss it a bit when I talk about it.)
私の場合はパパとよく小さなパイを作りました。私が生地を作って、パパがほうれん草、クリームチーズ、ソーセージを組み合わせて中身を作りました。アメリカの家には大きなオーブンがあるので、それで焼いてよく食べていました。思い出の味です。ちなみに、パイなどの中に詰めるものはフィリングと言います。 (In my case, I used to make little pies with my dad. I made the dough and my dad made the filling from a combination of spinach, cream cheese and sausages. We had a big oven in our house in the US, so we used to bake them in it and eat them. It’s a taste I remember. Incidentally, what you fill a pie or other filling with is called a filling. )

one of の後は名詞の複数形を置きます。それでは他の例文も見てみましょう。

one of + 名詞の複数形を主語にした場合、one は単数を表すので、現在形の場合、be動詞は is になります。次です。

私は古いTシャツのうちの2枚を捨てました。
two of – 何々で、何々のうちの2つや、誰々のうちの2人という意味になります。次です。
Some of my classmates are in the drama club.
私のクラスメートのうちの何人かは演劇部に入っています。
some of 何々で、誰々のうちの何人かや、何々のうちのいくつかという意味になります。some of + 名詞の複数形を主語にした場合、some は複数を表すので、現在形の場合、be 動詞は are を使います。
