Journalists covering the conflict between Israel and Hamas have been recognized with what are considered to be the most prestigious awards in U.S. journalism.

名詞形は coverage で、TV coverage「テレビ取材・報道」、media coverage「メディア取材・報道」という言葉でよく使われます。

Pulitzer Prizes「ピュリツァー賞」はアメリカの報道、文学、音楽の分野における功績に対して贈られる賞で、アメリカのジャーナリズムでは最も栄誉ある賞とされています。５月６日、調査報道や論評などを含む２０以上の部門について、今年の受賞者が発表されました。

publish「（作品や印刷物などを）公開する、発表する」
work「作品、著作物」で、新聞やその他のメディアで発信された記事や写真などを含みます。
honor A with B 「ＡにＢ（賞や称号などの名誉）を授与する、表彰する」
honor 例えば、He was honored for his pioneering work in investigative journalism.

citation「表彰」、あるいはその「賞状」
今年のピュリッツァー賞では、特別賞（special citation）として、特定のメディアではなく、「ガザでの戦闘を取材するジャーナリストとメディア関係者」が選ばれました。この賞は、特筆すべき報道などがあった年にだけ授賞されるようです。
(This year’s Pulitzer Prize for Special Citation was not given to a specific media outlet, but to “journalists and media personnel covering the fighting in Gaza. This prize seems to be awarded only in years when there is a notable news report.)

パレスチナ暫定自治区は現在、ガザ地区とヨルダン川西岸（West Bank）に分かれています。ガザ地区は地中海に面し、北側と東側はイスラエル、南側はエジプトに囲まれています。(The Palestinian Interim Authority is currently divided into the Gaza Strip and the West Bank (West Bank). 動詞 win、win-won-won、「（賞などを）勝ち取る、受賞する」
staff「スタッフ」は集合名詞で、通例は単数形で複数の人（の集まり）を表します。
breaking news「ニュース速報」で、テレビのニュース画面にテロップで流される文言にも使われます。
この場合の break は「（何かが）急に現れる、突然起こる、（ニュースなどを）急に公にする、（事実などを）打ち明ける」という意味で、ここではbreakingと形容詞的に使われています。
