2022年各国の政府は法的拘束力のあるプラスチックごみ対策の国際条約を2024年末までに策定するということに合意していました。ですが意見の隔たりが埋まらず合意を見送りました。このことに関するニュースです。

As you might’ve noticed, English speakers use the word “pollution” with both what is being polluted, like “air pollution” and “water pollution,” and what is causing the pollution, like “noise pollution” and “light pollution.”
air pollutionのように汚染されているもの自体のことも、noise pollution のように害を起こしているもののことも、どちらにもpollutionというのを使うんですね。
