アメリカのトランプ大統領が 「いわゆる不法移民対策として摘発や強制送還などに着手している」という1月28日時点のニュースです。
うーん、アメリカのニュース日々動いてますもんね。
そうですね。
今回はその時点でのニュースということですね。 まずはニュース全体を通して聞いてみます。
U.S. President Trump has been tackling what he calls “illegal immigration.” Mexico says it’s taken in thousands of deportees so far.
Since returning to the White House last week, Trump has signed over 30 executive orders. That’s more than he signed in the first three months of his first term.
He’s also declared a national emergency to support his mass deportation plan. One of his targets is people with criminal records.
The Mexican president says the situation is being discussed.
“We are in a permanent dialogue, as are they with Central American countries.”
She said Mexico took in 4,094 deportees, mostly its nationals, in the week leading up to Sunday.
Colombia also is dealing with Trump’s new policies. He threatened to hike tariffs if the country refused to accept deportation flights on military aircraft. Colombia finally backed down and agreed to the plan.

trainee. However, that rule does not always hold. You’ll notice a lot of variation in how people pronounce certain words in this family. For example, I personally find it very hard to say the standard employee. I tend to say employee.
あの employee が一般的な発音だけど、トムさんは employee っていう風に発音してしまい勝ちなんですね。
Then there’s another word that makes frequent appearances in the news. Refugee, right? While refugee is the traditional pronunciation, you’ll hear plenty of people, myself included, emphasize the first syllable. Refugee.
Refugee っていうのは難しいですよね。
はい。なんか私も refugee って言っちゃいます。
