Trump suggests US may reduce aid to Ukraine after he takes office
US President-elect Donald Trump has suggested that the United States may reduce assistance to Ukraine after he launches his new administration in January.

Trump spoke about his views on major domestic and international issues in an interview with NBC television aired on Sunday.
Asked whether Ukraine should prepare for less aid from the US after he is sworn in to office, Trump answered, “Yeah, probably, sure.”
Trump added that he is trying to end the fighting between Russia and Ukraine, referring to “the people that are being killed, hundreds of thousands on both sides.”
Trump was asked if he would commit to the US remaining a member of NATO while he is in office. He replied, “If they are paying the bills,” and that if he thinks “they’re treating us fairly,” he would stay with NATO.
About his plan to deport illegal immigrants, Trump said, “We are starting with the criminals,” suggesting that those with criminal records will be deported before others.
Trump also spoke about his supporters who were convicted over the Capitol attack in January 2021. He said, “Those people have suffered long and hard.” He suggested it is likely that he will pardon them on his first day in office, after looking into individual cases.
