(A colleague asked me, “Would you like to have dinner with me after work?” You have a report due Thursday and cannot go. However, you have a report due on Thursday and cannot go. Let’s decline.)
1). 「ごめんなさい。 一緒に行けたらいいのだけれど。実は、時間がないの。 木曜日までにリポートを完成させる必要があるのよ。 金曜日はどう?」
