「節」には that 節、if / whether 節のほかにあとひとつ、 wh 節があります。 もちろん説明型の 「説明語句」 として使うことができます。
ダグとシホ夫婦が、 ダグの故郷のテキサス州を旅行しています。 ダグはダラスで生まれたようですね。
(Doug and his wife Siho are traveling through Doug’s home state of Texas. It appears that Doug was born in Dallas.)
