意外と便利な表現 nicely
例えば、 「優しい言い方をする」 は nicely を使って say it nicely と表現できます。
「彼は優しい言い方をしなかった」 なら、 He didn’t say it nicely. です。
皆さんも英語でコミュニケーションをするなかで、時にはあまり親切でない人に遭遇することがあるかもしれません。
嫌な気持ちを吐き出すために、この表現を使って友達に愚痴をこぼしてもいいですし、 相手に直接言ってみてもいいでしょう。
(As you communicate in English, you may sometimes encounter people who are not very nice to you.
You can use this expression to complain to your friends or directly to the person you are talking to in order to let out your bad feelings. )

僕は一度だけ、Do you think you could say that a little more nicely?
(もう少し優しい言い方ができたと思いませんか?)
と店員さんに直接言ったことがあります。
少し長いですし、 相手に直接言うのは勇気がいるかもしれませんが……。

nicely がおすすめなのは、 相手に正してほしい言動に対して Don’t ~.(~しないでください)とガツンと言うのではなく、 「~してほしい」とお願いできるところ。
日常会話でもビジネスでも、 相手との関係を維持するうえで、このような表現が便利なときがあるはずです。
