月曜日のストーリーでカールが You can’t go home. と言っていました。
また火曜日のストーリーでカールが The door to the human world. It disappeared. と言っていましたね。

Q2). 2つ目の質問は When did Carl go to America? でした。答えを英語で、どうぞ。

He went there two years ago.
木曜日のストーリーでニコに When did you go to America? と尋ねられたカールが
Two years ago. と答えていましたね。

今日は不規則動詞を覚えましょう。
動詞の過去形には語尾に-ed をつける規則動詞と別の形になる不規則動詞があります。これまでのレッスンで扱わなかった不規則動詞をいくつか紹介します。現在形、過去形の順で紹介します。
買う、buy の過去形は bought です。原形、過去形を一緒にリピートしましょう。

来る、come の過去形は came です。

書く、write の過去形は wrote です。

取る、連れていく、take の過去形は took です。

では文で言ってみましょう。それぞれの英文をリピートしてください。

動詞の過去形は何度も言うことで覚えることができます。言えるようになったら綴りも覚えてくださいね。

Be動詞amとisの過去形はwas。areの過去形はwereです。Be動詞は主語によって決まるので、過去のことを言いたい時、
主語がIや単数ならwas、youや複数ならwereとなります。

過去形のwasやwereを使った文を否定文にする場合、wasやwereの後にnotを置きます。

The key sentence is:

扉はこの辺にありましたか？
過去形のwasやwereを使った文で質問する場合、wasやwereを文の最初に置きます。wasやwereの後ろは主語となります。
答えの文でもwasやwereを使って答えます。

あなたはいつアメリカへ行ったのですか？2年前です。いつ？と質問するときにはwhenを使います。
whenは普通文の最初に置き、その後ろは普通の疑問文の形を続けます。

あなたは友達に会いました。この前の週末のことを聞かれるので、思い出して3分程度で話してみましょう。では今から週末に何をしたか思い出してください。

過去にしたことを話す時は、いつ？誰と？何を？などの情報を入れるといいでしょう。もう1つ例を聞いてください。
(In this example, the person said, “I went to the shopping mall with my family on Saturday. We bought some clothes. We had lunch there, too.” When talking about something you did in the past, it’s good to include information like when, who with, and what you did. Let’s listen to another example.)

I stayed home on the weekend. I played cards with my cousins. It was a lot of fun.
この例では「週末は家にいました。いとことトランプをしました。とても面白かったです。と言っていました。」
したことについて It was a lot of fun などと感想を入れるといいですよ。ではもう一度あなたの番です。2つの例とテキストをお持ちの方は役に立つ表現を参考に質問に3分程度で答えましょう。
(In this example, the person said, “I stayed home on the weekend. I played cards with my cousins. It was a lot of fun.” It’s good to include your thoughts on what you did, like, “It was a lot of fun.” Now, it’s your turn again.
