ready to -, 〜する準備ができたは頻繁に使われるコンビネーションですが、ready と to 不定詞が結びつくのにも理由があります。ready は通常「これから何かをする準備ができた」ということ。そのため「矢印」のイメージを持ち「これから」が感じられる to 不定詞といいコンビネーションを作るんです。
続いて確認するのは Maria の最後のセリフ。

この文は目的語説明型の受動態が使われています。目的語説明型は call them a super food と動詞+目的語+説明語句の形。そこから目的語 them を主語の位置に出して are called と過去分詞「何々される」で説明すればこの形ができあがります。
ただネイティブスピーカーは対応する能動文を考えることなくこの形を作り出しますよ。私たちも何度か音読暗唱すれば、なんとなくできるようになります。
