Japan-S.Korea summit in Tokyo ends

The leaders of Japan and South Korea met in Tokyo on Saturday.
Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and President Lee Jae-myung agreed to enhance cooperation to develop stable and future-oriented bilateral relations.
Ishiba said the two countries agreed to steadily improve relations based on the positive foundation which has been built since the normalization of diplomatic relations in 1965.
Lee Jae-myung emphasized that South Korea and Japan are neighboring countries, and that they are inseparable partners who should cooperate closely for peace and prosperity.
At the meeting, the leaders discussed boosting economic ties and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides agreed to allow their respective citizens to obtain working holiday visas more than once.
They also agreed to work together on common challenges including rapid population decline and low birthrates, and regional revitalization.
On security issues, the leaders reaffirmed the significance of closer bilateral and trilateral cooperation with the US with the goal of complete denuclearization of North Korea.

東京での日韓首脳会談が終了

日本と韓国の首脳が土曜日に東京で会談しました。
石破茂首相と李在明大統領は、安定的で未来志向の二国間関係を発展させるために協力を強化することで合意しました。
石破首相は、両国が1965年の国交正常化以来築かれてきた前向きな基盤の上に立って、関係を着実に改善していくことで一致したと述べました。
李大統領は、韓国と日本は隣国であり、平和と繁栄のために緊密に協力すべき切り離せないパートナーだと強調しました。
会談では、経済関係や人的交流の強化についても話し合われました。両国はそれぞれの国民がワーキングホリデービザを複数回取得できるようにすることで合意しました。
さらに、急速な人口減少や低出生率、地域活性化といった共通の課題への協力についても一致しました。
安全保障問題に関しては、両首脳は、北朝鮮の完全な非核化を目指し、日韓および米国との二国間・三国間協力の重要性を再確認しました。
