Dodgers celebrate second straight World Series win

The Los Angeles Dodgers are back on top, and now back home, with another trophy. After a winner-take-all showdown against the Toronto Blue Jays, they celebrated their second straight title in Major League Baseball.
Thousands of fans lined the streets of LA during their victory parade on Monday. The players, their families and others linked to the team boarded double-decker buses and traveled to their stadium for a rally.
Two-way star Ohtani Shohei joined the parade with his wife Mamiko. He hit eight homeruns during the postseason, and took the mound in four games, earning two wins.
Pitcher Yamamoto Yoshinobu, who was named the World Series most valuable player, rode with Ohtani. He picked up three wins in the series.
Another pitcher, Sasaki Roki, celebrated his first victory parade on a different bus. Fans cheered the Japanese players who helped lead the team to the championship.
The Dodgers won four games in the best-of-seven series against the Blue Jays. It is their ninth World Series title, and the first time in the team’s history to win it two years in a row. This victory makes them the first back-to-back champions in 25 years.
