日本の測量技師たちは、日本で最も高い山についての考え方を少しだけ変えるかもしれない発見をしました。彼らは、富士山が以前考えられていたよりも実際には5センチメートル高いことを発見しました。
国土地理院は、日本全国の標高に影響を与える可能性のある地殻変動を調査するために測量を実施しました。この調査では、衛星データを取り入れた新しい手法を使用しました。この方法は時間を節約できるだけでなく、より正確であるとこの機関は述べています。
